Repainting a working premises is as much about logistics as paint. We schedule around your trading — early mornings, evenings, weekends or staged areas — so you don’t lose a day’s trade and customers aren’t walking through a worksite. The access and staging plan is agreed up front and we stick to it. Low-VOC paints mean a repainted office or shop is back in use sooner with minimal odour.

For body-corporate and strata work we provide a clear itemised quote and scope the committee can actually read, coordinate access across multiple units, and schedule to keep disruption to residents to a minimum. Hobart’s damp climate is hard on rendered and weatherboard strata exteriors, so we prep properly — wash, mould treatment, sand, prime — and use the right paints to stretch the maintenance cycle and the committee’s budget.
Access and safety (WorkSafe Tasmania).
We plan access before we start — scaffold or an EWP for height, edge protection, and public-area management so pedestrians and customers stay safe around the work. Height work follows WorkSafe Tasmania fall-protection requirements. On occupied premises we section off work areas, manage wet-paint zones and keep walkways clear so your operation keeps running around us.
Pricing.
Commercial work is quoted per project, because scope, access, height, surface condition, after-hours needs and substrate vary widely between a single shopfront and a multi-unit block. As a rough guide, exterior work generally sits in the $25–$60 per square metre range before access and out-of-hours factors. We inspect, agree the scope, and give you a fixed itemised quote — no vague hourly guesses.
Why we don’t cut corners.
On a commercial or strata exterior, prep is what protects the committee’s or owner’s spend. A cheap repaint over chalking render or flaking weatherboard fails inside a couple of damp Hobart winters and you’re paying twice. We’d rather quote the prep honestly and deliver a finish that holds.
